Dear MSP Members, Steve Gencarella is stepping down from his seat on the MTA Board of Directors after several years of dedicated service. We greatly appreciate Steve’s hard work on behalf of the MSP and public higher ed in the state. This leaves a vacancy on the MTA Board of Directors that can be filled by any MSP member, and will be voted by the delegates to this year’s MTA annual meeting. I am pleased to report that Dan Clawson has stepped forward as a candidate for this important post. If others are interested in running for this seat, please let the MSP know as soon as possible. The deadline for nominations to be received by the MTA is June 25. If this becomes a contested election, the candidates will put forward their positions on the critical issues and a vote will be held as soon as possible.
