This one-year agreement calls for a 2.5% across-the-board base salary increase and a base salary increase from a merit pool equal to 1% of the faculty-librarian salaries. This merit pool will be distributed according to contract procedures for work performed during academic year 2005-2006. Both these salary increases will be retroactive to July 8, 2007.

The Governor signed the funding bill on January 7. We are extremely pleased that this process has moved quickly. The Governor filed the contracts before Thanksgiving and the legislature took action and funded them during informal session. Thanks go out not only to them but also to you for making the necessary calls to legislators and to MTA (especially Arline Isaacson) for their effective lobbying that helped make this happen.
