Email date: 06/01/2009 Description: Health insurance split issue has gone to conference committee and MSP urges members to press legislators for less dire 80/20 proposal. Dear MSP Members: Your help is urgently needed to put pressure on conference committee members to support the not ideal, but less dire House language that seeks to raise the split on health insurance premiums for current state employees to 80/20 and to 75/25 for new hires. Please recall that the House and Senate Ways and Means proposals began at 70/30 and that the Senate budget called for a 75/25 split for everyone. Please contact your legislators TODAY and urge them to ask the members of the conference committee to support the 80/20 House plan. The conference committee will try to complete their work by mid-June, therefore it's important to be in touch with your Rep. and Senator now!
