The University is currently searching for a new Chancellor for its flagship campus, UMass Amherst.

The search committee, appointed in August 2007 and chaired by UMass graduate and Trustee Jennifer Braceras, has been meeting since Fall 2007 and is charged with identifying three or more finalists to recommend to President Wilson for the position. MSP President, Max Page and MSP Board member, John Brigham, are both members of this committee.

The goal is to have finalists selected this spring. Next steps in the process would then include the finalists making campus visits, and University of Massachusetts President Jack M. Wilson recommending a candidate to the University's Board of Trustees, which would then vote on the President's recommendation.
