Dear MSP Members -

Today is the last day of our contract and the Governor has not even authorized an economic package so we can truly begin negotiations with the UMass administration.  We are deeply disappointed that the Governor has not asked his staff to authorize fair parameters to his higher education employees; his inaction will very likely push negotiations into the fall and will require us to increase the pressure.  This will in turn undermine our efforts to support aspects of the Readiness Project and will take energy away from the fight to defeat the anti-tax initiative.

PLEASE CALL THE GOVERNOR TODAY and let him know that his higher education employees are furious that his failure to authorize fair financial parameters is hurting the university and hurting his credibility with some of his strongest supporters.
