MSP joins with Chancellor Cole in strongly urging you to help make the April 16 Rally/Lobby Day for Public Higher Education a success. This is the biggest higher education advocacy effort of the year, and we are making it a high priority. Students, faculty, staff and others are coming from all over the state and it promises to be very exciting. Here is what we hope you can do:

1. Come on the free bus and help advocate for increased funding for our campuses and for need-based financial aid. Sign up for a bus seat and lunch at massphenom@gmail.com. Buses will leave from Haigis Mall at 9:15 and be back no later than 5:30. After a lively rally in the Boston Common, we will deliver thousands of post cards to legislators and the Governor.

2. Make it clear to your students that you are encouraging participation and that they will not be penalized for missing class that day.

3. Do not schedule an exam that day.

4. If you are a superviser, please make it as easy as possible for classified and professional staff to attend.
